Diwali at Vinayak Jewels

Diwali at Vinayak is a very special time of the year we love celebrating with our employee’s, friends and family.

Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is a major Hindu festival celebrated in India and other countries with significant Hindu populations. It usually falls between mid-October and mid-November, depending on the Hindu lunar calendar.

Diwali is a five-day festival that celebrates the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. The festival is typically marked with the lighting of diyas (oil lamps) and candles, the exchange of sweets and gifts, and the decoration of homes with rangoli (colorful designs made with rice flour) and other decorations.

We at Vinayak love decorating our factory with lights and flowers. Giving all our employee’s sweets and gifts. Uniting at this special time of year is wonderful.

The festival has various religious and cultural significance across different regions in India. In some parts of India, Diwali is associated with the worship of Goddess Lakshmi (the goddess of wealth and prosperity) while in other parts, it is associated with the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after defeating the demon king Ravana.

Diwali is also celebrated in other countries with significant Hindu populations, including Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, and Fiji. The festival is an important occasion for family reunions and social gatherings, and it is widely celebrated with enthusiasm and joy.
